For more than 135 years, the name Beiersdorf has stood for innovative skin care. The company is now the world market leader in the skin care sector, and NIVEA is widely known. In 2018, the group with its more than 160 subsidiaries worldwide achieved sales of over 7.2 billion euros (of which 1.25 billion were attributable to the independent subsidiary Tesa). As part of the introduction of Office 365, the organization also got access to PowerApps, which Beiersdorf Shared Services used to support a quality manager in creating a no-code smartphone app. The app significantly simplifies the recording and analysis of those products in stores that no longer look as perfect on the shelves as Beiersdorf would like for their customers.

As part of the introduction of Office 365, Beiersdorf also revised its intranet pages and put them on a new, uniform footing technically with SharePoint Online / Yammer. Departments and national companies can now communicate precisely with their target groups without missing out on relevant news from Beiersdorf's headquarters in Hamburg. The time required to publish a text on the intranet has been reduced from 60 to ten minutes thanks to the new Younited platform.
